Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
ThumbHigher is designed to work without an account, profile, or sign-in. This policy explains the limited information used to run and protect the game.
Information we process
When you play, we create a random game session and record information needed to operate the challenge, such as the rounds shown, your choices, whether an answer was correct, your streak, and response timing. If you create or open a shared result, we also process the score, result link, and basic sharing events.
We do not ask for your name, email address, payment information, or precise location to play. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.
Essential cookie
ThumbHigher sets one essential, HttpOnly session cookie so the server can keep the rounds in your current challenge together. It uses SameSite protection and expires after up to two hours. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can remove it through your browser settings, but doing so ends access to the current run.
Security and service operations
Request information, including an IP address, may be processed by our hosting provider and by ThumbHigher for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, debugging, and service reliability. The game stores a one-way hash rather than a raw address in its rate-limit records.
How information is used
- Run the game, restore a current session, and calculate results.
- Create result links when you choose to share a completed run.
- Prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.
- Understand basic game interactions and improve the experience.
- Respond to support, privacy, and content-removal requests.
Retention
The browser session cookie and active challenge expire after up to two hours. Public result links expire after 30 days. Operational and game records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service, or to meet legal obligations.
Third-party services and links
The site is hosted using Cloudflare services. The game also links to YouTube and may offer sharing links to other platforms. When you follow an external link, that service handles information under its own privacy policy. ThumbHigher does not control those third-party sites.
Children’s privacy
ThumbHigher does not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts or profiles. If you believe a child has sent personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review it.
Your choices
You can stop using the service at any time and clear the essential cookie in your browser. You may also contact us to ask a privacy question or request review of information associated with a support message or a specific shared-result URL.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
